You can leave Africa, but Africa never leaves you! November 1985 and our small plane touched down at Gaborone Airport in Botswana, we had arrived in country to begin our next posting. For the previous nine years we had travelled the world as expatriates living in far flung corners of the globe. However, little did we know when we stepped off that plane into the heat of the African Summer afternoon that this would be the start of a 20 year love affair with Africa and its wild places? There is an old sayin.
Towards the end of 2008, we will embark on the greatest challenge yet in our lives. We will travel some 25,000 kms overland, circumnavigating Africa, getting off the beaten track to some of the most remote and beautiful areas in the world, in what we believe will be the journey of a lifetime.
